How to get to The Hague?

By air

The international airports of Amsterdam and Rotterdam The Hague are just short distances away from The Hague. Amsterdam Airport Schiphol can be reached by car in approximately 20 minutes and by public transport in about 30 minutes. A total of around 150 European airports and more than 100 intercontinental airports operate direct connections to Amsterdam, with more than 3,500 flights a week.

By Public transportation

The Hague has two international and well-equipped train stations. Trains from Hollands Spoor Station leave for Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Belgium and France. Trains for Utrecht and Germany leave from The Hague Central Station. Both train stations operate a direct service to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.

  • From The Hague Central Station (CS) take tram no. 2 (towards Kraayenstein) and get off at Spui, then transfer to tram 1 (towards Scheveningen Noorderstrand) and get off at World Forum and it’s only one-minute walk to Van Stolkweg 1 – Crowne Plaza.
  • From The Hague Hollands Spoor (HS) take tram no. 1 (towards Scheveningen Noorderstrand) and get off at World Forum and it’s only one-minute walk to Van Stolkweg 1 – Crowne Plaza.

By car

From Utrecht / Amsterdam

Follow A12 to Zuid Hollandlaan/S101 in Haagse Hout, Den Haag. Merge onto A12. Keep left at the fork to continue on A12/E30, follow signs for Den Haag/Zoetermeer/Waddinxveen. Continue to follow A12. Take S100, S102 and S200 to Van Stolkweg in Scheveningen. Use any lane to turn left onto Zuid Hollandlaan/S10. Use the right 2 lanes to turn right onto Koningskade/S100. Continue to follow S100. Continue straight onto Raamweg/S102. Turn right onto the ramp to Scheveningen/Kijduin/Haven/Madurodam. Merge onto Hubertusviaduct/S200. Turn right onto Van Stolkweg. Destination will be on the right (before the Shell Gas station)

From Amsterdam / Leiden

Take A4/E19 and A44 to Rijksstraatweg/N44 in Wassenaar. Merge onto A10. At the interchange Knooppunt De Nieuwe Meer, Use the left 2 lanes to follow signs for E19/A4 toward Luchthaven Schiphol/Amstelveen/Den Haag. At the interchange Knooppunt Burgerveen, Use the right 2 lanes to follow signs for A44 toward Den Haag-Centrum/Leiden-West/Sassenheim. Continue onto A44.

Follow Rijksstraatweg/N44 and S200 to Van Stolkweg in Scheveningen, Den Haag. Destination will be on the right (before the Shell Gas station)

From Rotterdam

Head northwest on Schiekade/S112 toward Couwenburg. Continue to follow S112. Use the left 2 lanes to turn left onto Stadhoudersweg. Continue on A13 to Haagse Hout, Den Haag. Keep left to continue on A13, follow signs for Delft/Den Haag. At the interchange Knooppunt Ypenburg, Use the left 3 lanes to follow signs for A4/E19 toward Amsterdam. Keep right at the fork and merge onto A12.

Take S100, S102 and S200 to Van Stolkweg in Scheveningen. Use any lane to turn left onto Zuid Hollandlaan/S101. Use the right 2 lanes to turn right onto Koningskade/S100. Continue to follow S100

Continue straight onto Raamweg/S102. Continue to follow S102. Turn right onto the ramp to Scheveningen/Kijduin/Haven/Madurodam. Merge onto Hubertusviaduct/S200. Continue to follow S200. Turn right onto Van Stolkweg. Destination will be on the right (before the Shell Gas station)

How to travel around in The Hague at night?

The Hague has an excellent public transportation system. Several bus and tram lines will quickly and safely take you to your destinations. There are also night buses at your service to make sure you can get home safely after a night out.

Using the public transportation services and coming from The Hague Central Station, you can take:

  • Bus N2 towards Leidschendam/Voorburg Nootdorp and stop at Buitenhof.Hofweg and continue to take the Bus N1 towards Scheveningen and stop at Prins Willemstraat and it’s about 10 minutes’ walk.

Using the public transportation services and coming from The Hague Hollands Spoor Station, you can take:

  • Bus N4 towards Wateringen Rijswijk and stop at Buitenhof/Hofweg and continue to take Bus N1 towards Scheveningen and stop at Prins Willemstraat and it’s about 10 minutes’ walk.
